It’s Coming, My Precious…

The official trailer for the first part of Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit” was released online tonight. I know it has nothing to do with space except that fans of astronomy are most likely also geeky enough to be as excited about this as I am. Enjoy!

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Looks to be more of the same kind of pristine awesomeness that was the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Scheduled for release in December 2012.

And if you’re on Facebook, follow Peter Jackson’s page for up-to-date info on the movies as they happen.

(Besides… didn’t Galadriel present Frodo with a gift of a “Light in the Dark” in Fellowship of the Rings? And so. 🙂 )
